She Fell
I was walking to get cigarettes and go get a hair cut. I walked down bank street with my hands tucked into my sleeves as it was still cold. the cold wind made enjoying the sun a little harder and flakes of snow darted around my face. I crossed slater and was turning to go into the tobacco shop when in front of me i see an elderly woman fall face first into the interlock stone sidewalk. her face slid a few inches plowing right into the ground, pieces of skin catching on the grooves of the walkway.
I moved towards her and asked if she was ok. blood started pouring out from above her eye and a steady stream began to come out of her nose and the sides of her mouth. I helped her up and went into a book shop to get her some napkins. while on my mission, others began to crowd around her, one calling an ambulance. I got her some water from the cigar shop. Her mouth was full of blood and it was horrible to look at. The ambulance came, i gave my report and got a pack of cigarettes and a haircut.
